 Bologna Children’s Book Fair - Wettbewerb “Il bambino spettatore”

Die größte Kinderbuchmesse der Welt findet jedes Jahr in Bologna statt!
Außer es ist das Jahr 2020, das Jahr des COVID19, das Jahr der on-line Messen!
Trotzdem konnte man on-line viele Neuigkeiten des Kinderbuchmarktes sehen und trotzdem
fanden die vielen Wettbewerbe statt.
Ich habe an „Il bambino spettatore“ – „Das Kind als Zuschauer“ mit „Die Nussknacker Emotion“ teilgenommen und wurde von ca. 600 Illustratoren für die on-line Ausstellung ausgewählt. WOW! Vielen Dank!

Bologna Children’s Book Fair - Contest “children spectator”
The biggest Children’s Book Fair of the world every year is based in Bologna.
But not in 2020, the year of COVID 19, the year of online fairs!
OK – whatever it was also sooo interesting to see all news and winner of several contests!
I was selected from about 600 illustrators at the contest “Children spectator” with my illustration
named “The nutcracker emotion” WOW! Thank you so much!

La più grande fiera dei libri d’infanzia in tutto il mondo a Bologna!
Ma non nel 2020, l’anno di COVID19, l’anno delle fiere on-line!
Comunque è stato una bella occasione per vedere le novità di tutto il mondo e comunque si poteva vedere le diverse mostre dei concorsi.
Quest’anno sono stata scelta tra ca. 600 illustratori per il concorso „Il bambino spettatore“
con la mia illustrazione “Emozionata con il Schiaccianoci”
Wow! Che emozione! Mille grazie!

 Wettbewerb NOTTE di FIABA – Riva del Garda – Ausstellung im MAG

 

2019 „SANDOKAN“ – „I Tigri della Malora” von Pierdomenico Baccalario

Der internationale Illustrations Wettbewerb ist jedes Jahr von Riva del Garda, in Norditalien am Gardasee für das Märchen Sommerfestival im August ausgeschrieben. Jedes Jahr gibt es ein neues Märchenthema und eine neue Geschichte zum Thema des Jahres, das von den teilnehmenden Illustratoren mit zwei End-Illustrationen und einem Storyboard vorgestellt wird. Eine Jury von Kreativen der Kinderbuchszene wählt die Illustrationen für die Ausstellung und den Gewinner, der mit dem Verlag „Orecchio Acerbo“ das Buch veröffentlichen darf. 

Dieses Jahr wurden auch meine Illustrationen für die Ausstellung ausgewählt. Der Katalog aller Illustrationen ist von großer Qualität. Vielen Dank!

 Contest NOTTE di FIABA – Riva del Garda – Exhibition at MAG
2019 „SANDOKAN“ – „I Tigri della Malora” author: Pierdomenico Baccalario

The international illustration contest is based every year in North-Italy at Riva del Garda at the lake “Garda”. A summer festival in august is the theme for the children’s book contest. The illustrators have to send 2 finished illustrations and the storyboard of the project. The jury of professionals decides the illustrations for the exhibition in the MAG Museum an d the winner, who will publish the project with “Orecchio Acerbo” – Editor.

This year also my illustrations had the exhibition entry … and also the catalogue with all illustrations is from high quality. Thank You!

Concorso NOTTE di FIABA – Riva di Garda – Mostra al MAG

2019 „SANDOKAN“ – „I Tigri della Malora” di Pierdomenico Baccalario

Riva del Garda festeggia ogni anno ad agosto l’estate con una fiaba a tema.

E a tema è anche il concorso. Chi vuole partecipare al concorso internazionale di illustrazione per realizzare un libro d’infanzia con l’editore “Orecchio Acerbo” deve mandare due final – illustrazioni e lo storyboard del progetto.

Quest’anno anche le mie illustrazioni sono stati scelti per la mostra … e per il catalogo, qual è di grande qualità. Mille grazie!

Contest LUCCA COMICS junior – Lucca (Toscana)

2019 „Fino in Fondo“ di Davide Calì

LuccaComics ist jedes Jahr ein riesiger Maskenball auf der mittelalterlichen Stadtmauer und in der Altstadt Luccas. Hier treffen sich jedes Jahr alle die sich für Comics, VideoGames und Kinderbuch-Illustration interessieren und Cosplay lieben.
Im Wettbewerb LuccaComics junior werden Illustratoren aufgefordert eine Geschichte mit ihren Illustrationen zu interpretieren. 2 End-Illustrationen und ein Storyboard müssen eingereicht werden. Der Gewinner darf sein Projekt mit einem Kinderbuchverlag publizieren. Von ca. 300 Teilnehmern wurde dieses Jahr auch meine Illustration für die Ausstellung ausgewählt… Vielen Dank!

Lucca Comics is every year a big Comic – Fantasy-illustration - Animation – Videogame – children’s book illustration  and cosplay FESTIVAL.
There a several contests and one of them is “LuccaComics junior” : illustrators have to send two final-illustrations and the storyboard written by an known children’s book author. The jury of professionals decides the illustrations for the exhibition in the “Royal college” an d the winner, who will publish the project with “KITE” – Editor.
This year also my illustrations had the exhibition entry, chosen from around 300 illustrators … Thank You!

Concorso Lucca Comics – mostra al royal collegio
2019 „Fino in Fondo“ di Davide Calì
Lucca festeggia ogni anno a fine ottobre il Lucca Comics per tutti che si interessano per Fumetti, Fantasy illustrazione, animazione, video games, illustrazione per libri d’infanzia e Cosplay
Per il concorso internazionale di illustrazione sono da realizzare due final – illustrazioni e lo storyboard del progetto. Il vincitore può pubblicare il suo progetto con l’editore “KITE”.
Quest’anno eravamo ca. 300 illustratori … e che emozione! La mia illustrazione è stata scelta per la mostra … Mille grazie!

Biography - Carin S.Guarino - DonnaCarin -

DonnaCarin - Carin S. Guarino -  is a German Graphic Designer, Illustrator and Surface Pattern Designer 
based in Tuscany, Italy.

After her Graphic Design school she improved her art skills with engraving on glass and one year art therapy.

1995 she moved to Florence in Italy and worked six years as a Computer Graphic Trainer 
at SoleCosta Studio -  private school and
3 years as Graphic Designer for Simone Micheli architect & Roberta Colla Graphik Design Studio
2003 she moved to the west coast of Tuscany and studied two years
CREATIVE WRITING for Kids and Teens.

Since 2016 she goes ahead to improve her art skills with workshops held of children books illustrators like
Arianna Papini, Ottavia Monaco, Anne Sophie Fatus, Candia Castellani, Daniela Pareschi, Francesco Giustozzi, Nicoletta Pagano (pattern design), Davide Calì (creative writing), Joanna Concejo and others.

Today she is working as a

a big heart for recycled materials
